About
A frequent commentator on CNBC’s Closing Bell, Lee Eugene Munson has been quoted in Business Week, Smart Money, CFA Magazine, TheStreet.com and publishes frequent articles on SeekingAlpha.com. He is the chief investment officer of Portfolio, LLC, and is one of New Mexico’s distinguished investment advisors. In 2009, The New Mexico Business Weekly named Lee’s firm, Portfolio, LLC as one of the top money managers. Early in his career, he worked as a speculative stock trader on Wall Street during the dot-com boom and bust until he had an epiphany. Lee began to question everything about his approach to investments starting with the basics. He returned to his home in New Mexico to begin down the long road dedicated to accomplish every aspect of his goal. While a vice president of Schwab Private Client in Albuquerque, Mr. Munson earned a Certified Financial Planner designation and passed the rigorous exams to earn the Certified Financial Analyst charter. Lee’s conspicuous success, acumen, and client satisfaction lead inevitably to the formation of Portfolio, LLC, a company dedicated to independent research and value investing. Mr. Munson is a graduate of the prestigious St. John’s College in Santa Fe. He serves on the boards of the New Mexico Estate Planning Council, the Santa Fe Film Festival and the Financial Planning Association of New Mexico.
